OFFERS

Great design & copy are imperative to a high-converting Shopify store but one thing that may be the cornerstone of your sales and biggest determining factor of long-term success will be your OFFER.

An offer is simply what you’re giving someone in exchange for their money. It can include one item or multiple items. The best offers are packaged, named and described in a way that is direct and specific to the customer’s problem and desired outcome (rather than generic and broad).

When you have a well-built offer, it allows you to:

  • De-commoditize yourself from the rest of the market. Since customers can no longer draw direct comparisons from competing products to your product

  • Be unique, different, and new in the eyes of the customer

  • Increase AOV and conversion rate

Now let’s get into the offer types below:

Quantity Breaks

  • The training wheels of offers, a great starting ground

  • Don't just show the savings, show the per piece savings

Examples: Bombas Socks, Try Create Gummies , ONNIT Alpha Brain

Bundles

BYOB is becoming more popular and you may start to see more apps pop up catered to it

  • Standard & build your own - give so much value by combining complementary products that it's hard to say no

  • The sum becomes greater than its parts

Examples: bakr, Bloom's Starter Kit, Sip Holiday Box, Huel (BYOB)

Subscriptions

  • All about convenience here, show the path of least resistance

  • Make it compelling as a set-it-and-forget-it and you'll have a customer for life

Examples: Joyn Alcohol Flush, Frankly Good Coffee, wellbel

Freemium Offers

  • Find ways to give something for free either as a stand-alone or added onto a purchase

  • Be willing to reel customers in with a minor loss so you can win big with them long-term at a higher margin

Examples: Sprouts Farmer's Market, Kylie Cosmetics

Combining Offers

  • Once you've found an offer that works well for you, see how you can stack more together

  • Remember to test offers by building your pages with @replohq

Examples: Bundles + Subscriptions, Quantity Break + Subscriptions, Bundles + Free Gift
